Why Does Rain Fall From the Sky?

You’re outside playing, and suddenly it starts raining. You look up at the sky and think, wait… where did all that water come from?

Did someone pour it from the clouds? Was it hiding up there the whole time?

You’ve seen puddles dry. You’ve seen steam rise from hot water.

So how does water go up into the air…and then come back down as rain?
